Now a judge has said the search of her car that produced most of the embarrassing information broadcast around the world was an illegal search. I guess I’m not surprised.

As a result, the house dinner and house meeting of Sunday, August 26th was one of the most interesting ones I'd ever attended, as I found myself and another housemate from last year sitting down to dinner with five people who were completely new to the co-op and each other.

I have a variation of the above "stay cool" practice which admittedly is not the most energy-efficient.  This practice has me running the fans all night to the point where the temperature in my room dips to about 58 degrees F (14 degrees C ) and I'm curled up underneath the quilt.  And then, right before I leave, I shut all the windows and close the door.  It works.

Yes, there are still people on this planet that claim that people like me with weight issues are "gluttons" and therefore sinners.  Just like there are people who still believe that the world was created 6,000 years ago or so. 

So, if you are going to market clothes to us, and expect us to buy your clothes via mail order or Internet, you would think that there would at least be people modeling your clothes who look like us. At the very, very least, so that we have a hint of how the clothes might look on us.

On a blog I was reading, I found this quiz that I couldn't resist taking.  It asked me thirteen questions about diet, lifestyle and genes and then endeavored to guess my weight.

Out of fairness, I am going to make a public offer to Sen. Herbert Kohl’s campaign. I am willing to offer the Senator’s campaign use of space on this blog for the purpose of letting them publish and clarify his views on the issue of Net Neutrality—uncut and unedited. Or, as an alternative, I will post a link to any statement on either his Congressional website or campaign website regarding the issue. I’ve looked through both websites and haven’t found anything, but perhaps I haven’t looked hard enough.

Folks, Internet freedom is hanging by a thread right now. It's getting scarier out there. Watch the Zuiikin Gals below weigh in on Net Neutrality. (Okay maybe not really, but as you watch the video, imagine them giving Net Neutrality opponents a piece of their mind.) And then think to yourself. Would you be able to see things like this if AT&T or Comcast influenced what you would see on the Internet?
