melli666 / Pixabay This pandemic parody is getting less and less funny. It was bad enough with the anti-maskers coming up with conspiracy theories that justified what they saw as their right to put other people in mortal danger. It became worse when Trump and many Republicans fanned the flames by fighting public health mandates … Continue reading pandemic parody of a Beatles’ song

I watched Vice President Joe Biden’s acceptance speech as the Democratic Party nominee for President. It was spectacular. He rose to the moment. But if you think this is a reason to vote blue no matter who, you need to know this: Voting blue is nowhere near enough on its own to uphold and protect our democracy. You have to be informed and aware of the issues, including some not reported in mainstream media. You have to be discerning as to where you get your information. Joseph Goebbels, Hitler's chief propagandist, said "If you repeat a lie often enough, people will believe it, and you will even come to believe it yourself." It's time to dismantle one of those oft-repeated lies. The truth is that the Democratic National Committee and US intelligence agencies are interfering in American elections. They aren't the only ones, but the DNC and US intelligence--with the help of most cable news channels and major newspapers--have been feeding Americans a steady diet of anti-Russia fearmongering. They are perpetrating a great Russian interference hoax with the explicit purpose of diverting American attention from ballot box machinations going on in this country. A global pandemic may have swept the globe, but we still face an election in November. However people may choose to vote, it is important that we discern fact from fiction as we make our choices at the ballot boxes.

But there’s living in my apartment, and then there’s living in Coronavirus Limbo, Wisconsin. Outwardly, they look very similar, but inwardly, they feel very different.
